"Serve first who suffer the most, not only to relieve suffering,
but also to remove it's cause."
-The Swallows

Dear Friends,

We are pleased to be able to bring out our Web Page. For over 33 years, TSDS has been working to eliminate the causes of poverty in rural Bangladesh and to alleviate sufferings brought about by the many inequities found in our society.

TSDS is currently engaged with a couple of development Program and projects in our rural working areas like handicrafts, education, village development, sustainable agriculture, water & sanitation, forestry, land rights, women rights, Net to rights, computer training, day care etc.

Our handicraft Programs are expanding and providing opportunities for women and men in the village to earn an income and thus provide for their families as well as offering more creative and attractive garments to both local and international buyers. Through our education Programs we continually strive to provide access to learning for poor and marginalized students throughout our area. From Primary School Programs to Computer Training Programs, our goal is to utilize education and training as a resource in bridging the gap between rich and poor.

Care of the environment is critical to sustaining life in rural areas like Thanapara village. Our Sustainable Agriculture Project, water and Sanitation Project and land Rights project are valuable addition to our organization and to the villagers they serve. Village development and Violence Against women programs continue to provide a vital link between victims and badly needed resources.

I invite you to read in greater detail about our Programme and services and welcome you to visit our organization at any time. To our donors and supporters, I cannot fully express our gratitude for your continued faith in us and your desire to support our activities. Without you, the progress we have made and the lives we have helped to improve would not have been possible. I am very grateful to them who have helped a lot for developing the web page and especially to the designer.
